FISHING

Whether you like to fish quietly from a boat on a clear wilderness lake, or along a wild, rushing stream around rocks and falls, we have the kind of fishing you want. In the spring it's time to go after the big lake trout up in the shallow water along the rocky shoreline. You can tackle these big beauties right from shore or from your bout, and if anyone tells you lakers don't fight, try one on a light tackle in the spring.

From the 1st of Jan. To 14th of Apr. And 15th of May through Dec. is walleye or pickerel time. We have boats and motors on some excellent walleye water, that are lightly fished & produce some real bragging size walleye. Enjoy a shore lunch of fresh walleye fillets and you'll know why so many fishermen go after these gold beauties. At the same time and in many of the same lakes you're liable to tie on to a tackle busting northern pike. Hang on to your rod and check your drag when one of these fighters makes a run. June is also speckled trout time, whether it's a wild rapids on a wilderness stream, or from a canoe on a fly-in or pack in lake, these kings of the wilderness fish are there, waiting to do you battle. There's still the lakers too, in these cold northern waters they hit well all summer.

So whatever is your reason or your type of angling, try it in the northern bush, and we think you'll be back next year, and the next.
